I didn't watch a minute of NBA all season but I'm glad your Cavs lifted the curse so the Indians and Browns now have a clear pathway to dominance. Now all eyes can turn to the Cubs.

Really happy for the long suffering sports fanatics in Cleveland. LeBron is by most accounts a kind and generous man too. So good for him.

However, I love the Warriors. They've made the NBA fun to watch again. Up until the end, they play great team ball. sure, Curry is the star and has epic skills. But during the season, I think they won playing as a real team.

I got completely turned off to the pro game during the era of the one star player taking over the offense on every play. (yep, I know it's heresy, but I mean guys like Jordan and Kobe)

I did like San Antonio over the past few years. Struck me as a class organization, who also played superb team ball. 5 rings to prove it. For all I know, Duncan may have been a douche bag in real life, but I always thought he played like a true gentleman pro. Terrific talent and work ethic on the court.

It's been a busy summer in downtown Cleveland:
1] The minor league ice hockey team won their championship in the arena.
2] The basketball team won the NBA championship in the arena.
3] Meanwhile across the street, the baseball team went on a winning streak and leads the American League.
4] Monday, the Republican National Convention starts in the same arena.
Downtown Cleveland is closed for the week. Work and other events have been canceled.

Speedskater is correct. I also live here in Cuyahoga Falls and everyone does not know what to expect with RNC, DT, the protests and open carry issues. No need for Cleveland to get a black eye in the media, broadcast out to a watching world. Everyone behave yourself during the RNC in Cleveland.

Better to stay clear unless you are really, really politically inclined.
