DACs, DACs and more DACs

While developing our Generation II StreamPlayer, we purchased a number of DACs for testing purposes.  But we obviously can't listen to more than one at a time.  So its time to move at least some of them out. We won't necessarily sell all of them, but we wanted potential buyers to have a choice.

Most of these were used only for testing purposes and have very little time on them.  And we took good care of them.  Here is a list...

Teac UD-501 - Temporarily unavailable
http://www.teac.com/product/ud-501/

This DAC sells for around $850.  It worked right out of the box with our StreamPlayer and I have had no issues with it from the start.  It can handle file resolutions up to 24/192 as well as DSD64 and DSD128.  It has USB, TOSLINK and coax S/PDIF. It has a silver faceplate.

Mytek Stereo 192-DSD
https://mytekdigital.com/hifi/products/stereo-192dsd-dac/

This sells for about $1695.  Mytek got its start designing equipment for recording studios.  It is also capable of resolutions up to 24/192 as well as DSD64 and DSD128. The setup capabilities are a bit more technical, but Mytek has a great reputation and this was their flagship DAC until very recently. It has a silver faceplate.

UFO DSD PORTABLE DAC

This DAC is $399 new.  It is a USB-powered portable DAC with preamp and headphone outputs.  The large volume knob changes color with changes in file resolution.  It handles PCM up to 24/192 and DSD64 and DSD128.

AVA Fet Valve Hybrid DAC - SOLD

This is Frank Van Alstine's top-of-the-line Fet Valve DAC.  It sells new for $1899.  This was our primary show DAC for a number of years.  Normally, this DAC does not have a USB input.  But since we wanted to use our StreamPlayer with it, I had Frank add an XMOS USB input to the unit.  So it can handle anything up to 24/192 from TOSLINK, Coax or USB.

Take your pick

If you would have use for any of the above DACs, let me know.  We can cut you a sweet deal.
