Anyone have recommendations for a reasonably priced microphone to use on desktop computer? Will be used for Windows Speech Recognition as well as Cortana. I'd like it to be a desk mount if it's possible to get one that hears more than a few inches. It that can't happen a headset, I guess. Tried a cheapie gooseneck with no-so-good results. Had to nearly shout and stick my face right up next to it.

Would also be interested if someone has similar for sale.

I've heard that the Blue Microphone brand makes good stuff. The Yeti may be a good choice with it's multiple patterns. I bought one for my picky CEO and he loves it.
