Review and Tech Report from Europe in HiFiTest.DE

Here is an interesting review, in a European Magazine, HIFITEST.  If you want to read it use the translator function.

What is VERY INTERESTING, is the tested POWER specs for the ST-10, which shows how NuPRIME DOES NOT inflate their numbers, in fact, the very opposite.

While NuPRIME posts the Power output to be 150wpc at both 8 and 4 ohms, this bench test finds the following:

"With 205 watts per channel into 8 ohms resistor, the ST-10 yielded slightly more power than specified by the manufacturer. At 4 ohms the trace then handed the laboratory to just below 300 watts before the Klirrgrenze was achieved of 0.7 percent."

We suspect that the test was done with just one channel, which is typical of lab test.
In the real world, either the left or right suddenly draws a lot of power, but seldom both channels are equally driven.
And we use a very conservative 1% THD rating for max power (pro audio typically spec at 10%.
Therefore you can expect to get a lot more power than we specified for our products.
