Thanks!  I'm thrilled to have these in my living room, but my wife seems to be much less enthusiastic.  If anyone is wiling to make the trip to D.C. I'd be happy to sell for $1,000, same as paid to the original owner.

+ 1 on that. That's why I commented about indicating the location earlier.  I moved from that area just under 4 years back and if I were still there, I would have grabbed them.  There's many people who list items for sale without listing the location.  The location listing makes it easier to sell.  If I were even a bit less than half the distance away I am now (I'm almost 900 miles away), it would be something that would be a big consideration.

Are the passives with the tear in the foam surround the 6" ones underneath the speaker or are they the 10" ones on the lower side of the speaker?  I have a couple of the old 6" passives that I took out to do the RM30 II replacement with a 10" side passives.  The 6" passives I have are in fine working condition.

That's some excellent advice.  However, with our firstborn on the way, my wife has become increasingly opinionated about the arrangement of our living quarters.  It's probably best that the speakers find a better home.

Anyone else interested at $1,000 or thereabouts?  These are in fairly good condition except for the small tear in one of the radiators mentioned earlier, and also a very small dent in one of the tweeters.  They are they 30M model with a side-firing woofer.   I've been listening to them for the past couple of weeks and thought they sounded great, especially with the waveguides removed.  I'm located in Washington D.C. and would be happy to audition them to serious buyers.
