Had some more work travel by plane this week, and caught a number of films during my 2 4 hour flights.

I really liked the first Guardians movie.  I found it engaging, and the soundtrack very strong.

Ehhhhhhh, the 2nd leaves a TON to be desired for me. 

The movie itself is OK, but I found the music just not good at all which really surprised me.  The polar opposite of the 1st movie soundtrack (which I bought).

Ah well, it did help pass the time.

5/10 for me.

I guess I wasn't thinking about the sound track. I liked 2 probably more than 1. Part of that was not changing characters around. Ronan = good guy in comics, not stronger than Drax (most iterations). Drax, didn't have a family, he was born to kill Thanos. But Ego was always a planet, and always a problem for everyone.

While Starlord didn't have Ego as a father in the comics, I thought the story worked really well for him and the blue guy which was kind of the better bit of the movie. I liked when blue guy was whistling and walking through his ship, murdering everyone dumb soul to cross him how they did.
