Salk and Selah have shared some similar designs for many years, and a similar approach to design- top quality drivers, excellent cabinetry, very attractively priced vs. the retail channel brands.
SS8 and Ottavo are similar in many ways, except for price- $6k for the Ottavo vs. $8k for the SS8.

Also the Salk Veracity ST & The Selah Prestigio

I agree I think we need a shootout same room same gear   :thumb:

The Ottavo's are, IMHO, better.  The Soundscape speakers sound "bigger", but lack the integration, smoothness, and huge sweet spot of the Ottavos.  Of course, I didn't get to REALLY hear what the Ottavo's could do because Rick had switched away from Spotify by the 2nd day :D

Ottavo's are on my list priced right , the 8's IMHO are over priced   :roll:

I thought the GR Research room was killer good.  One of the most musical at the show.  I don't think it was the track they were playing - I gave it to them.  Maybe you just heard an unfortunate track... :scratch:
