Joe Grado Passed Away

As many of the local audiophile, I had the opportunity to meet Joe at some of the meets in Charlotte. A very nice guy that took time with everyone that wanted to meet the great man. He will be missed.

Sad to hear.  Many moons ago (like about 35 years) with my old turntable my favorite sounding cartridge was the Grado G2+

I was also fortunate to spend time with him at a Charlotte can meet. We talked about his microphone and he played samples of its recordings for me as if it was part of our friendly conversation, not just a sales booth. He said he had a new type of speaker design he was tinkering with.

Oh, no. This is sad news. Joe was a "one off." There will never be another like him.
