Well..........

Bill was sneering at me, so had to rectify the situation.

Really not the copies I wanted, but what can you do, except keep looking.

There were a lot of colored vinyl imports from Mexico and Israel, what's up with that?

I like the music first, find the best copies later approach.

I think the colored vinyl imports are an appeal to the youngsters out there.

First time posting here :o (on this thread)..

Picked up Robert Plant's new one the other day. At first listen.. meh.. but after repeated listens (and different moods) it's really growing on me.

I like it!

A successful and fun day at the new-to-me used record store in Niles, CA "Needle to the Groove".  In addition to cleaning all the records on a VPI (not in the $1 bin), they put them into PVC sleeves--a nice touch for a used record store (but makes them more difficult to photograph).  So far very happy with the experience and my catch.

While in Portland over the weekend, I found two black label issues of Can't Buy a Thrill for $3 and $5. both in mint condition. The two labels are different. I believe the top picture with the building block letters is the earliest pressing. The dead wax indicates it is a first mother, first stamper pressing. I also have a yellow ABC label which is a later pressing.

Pink Floyd's The Endless River.

Nice quiet pressing, good sound.:8 of 10.

Performance:  Meh. 5 of 10.

Other opinions?

Cheers,

Just this weekend I picked up a copy of Foo Fighters "Sonic Highways". Excellent music and the recording is pretty good. The vinyl is very quiet. If you are a fan, check this one out.

Led Zeppelin ‎– Led Zeppelin IV
Label: Atlantic ‎– R1-535340
Format: Reissue, Remastered, 180 Gram
Country: USA & Canada
Released: 27 Oct 2014

Picked this up today at my first visit to Trax On Wax in Baltimore, MD. It goes with the releases of I, II & III I recently bought. The LZ IV from 1987 I bought with I thru III just couldn't hold it's own so todays purchase takes it place.

I almost bought the 1987 release of Physical Graffiti cut by Sam Feldman at Atlantic Studios, but it was priced at $43. Since my '87 LZ IV was just ok sounding I saw no reason to spend so much on PG.
