Returned from St. Augustine after going to the Violent Femmes concert at the St. Augustine Amplitheater.  Before the show my wife and I stopped by the Tone Vendor record store and came out with some great music, the Counting Crows and Muddy Waters were birthday gifts from my wife purchased off Discogs and Heckler here on audiocircle.

You seem to have made a mighty fine haul yourself.  Congrats!!

This is the last of my splurging on 45RPM 180g vinyl at Acoustic Sounds.  These were on sale, reduced from $50 each to $30 so they were hard for me to pass up.

Last week I walked into the local record store when the owner walked up and said he had something for me.  He knows I try to buy any of his Blue Notes from the 50s and 60s.  He pulls out a 10" Miles Davis Vol. 3 in VG++ condition and says "$15".  So I've been listening to Miles accompanied by Horace Silver, Percy Heath, and Art Blakey.  It was his first session after he got himself clean and the quartet is sharp.
Seems that it was a bit of a steal.  The last copy I can find that was Vg++ sold for an obscene amount.

On the U. of Cal. campus at Riverside, MadPlatter records, lots of Japanese imports and some nice, clean used vinyl. And Synchronicity is a 1st pressing on purple vinyl.

NM Brubeck plays Brubeck on a dutch Phillips recording, $10

and a NM Brubeck at Oberline on Fantasy, $10

and then.... the hit of the week, an original 1957 release of Saxophone Colossus in VG++/EX condition- and he threw it in for FREE!

This is two weeks in a row I've walked out of the record store with ~$500 values basically for free

I bartered for these classics. A handful of reefer (very appropriate  :)) for 13 psychedelic era  classics. Not a bad deal, eh? :green:

So TMAZZ and Pete G, owner of TWL, told me to try Infinity Records, so I did.

Bought the 2 Masekelas as heard a 3 title, Hope, at Pete's and enjoyed it. Another hole in the FM collection filled, and the 2 BN reissues I had but on CD. And the Neil Young was cheapest thing at $10, I found Infinity a tad pricey.

Picked up this set in NM condition at Mojo's in Tampa for ten bucks! These are some of the best sounding Columbia "two-eyes" recordings I've ever heard. Exemplary in every regard, makes you really appreciate how well everyone at Columbia did their job on this project.

Barnes and Noble has greatly expanded its vinyl selection.  Here's what I brought home.

Nice catch! Do you mind to share the picture of the original Colossus vinyl so I know how it looks like?

Wilson McKinley is a Spokane band from the very early 70s and one of the first Christian rock bands in America. Their first two albums have been remastered and reissued on vinyl.

Art,
I'll be glad to.  Give a day as I'm out of town but will be back tomorrow.
I remember it is a standard yellow and black Prestige with fireworks on either side and a Bergenfield NJ address.

Back on LI, this time hit Record Reserve on North side. A small place but good prices. Finally found a Peter Green title, plus he plays on the Mick Fleetwood title as Peter Greenbaum. 4 titles for $28.

Gene,
Tell me about the Fleetwood album!  I was in Accra in 2011 studying Malinke and Ga rhythms.  Wondering if it's got a little polyrhythm going on?

Congrats on the Peter Green.  My search still continues...
