Ascend Acoustics has a BF sale every year.

They also carry Rythmik subwoofers.  The LV12R for $569 and free shipping seems like a good deal.

Dan,

Is that a good price?

I am not familiar with headphones at all.

Thanks,

Hugh
I post this ad for one reason and one reason only, the noise canceling headphones. That is literally the only Bose product I would ever consider buying again.

The Bose QC 20 in-ear are fantastic at noise-canceling... the sound is somewhat mediocre but better than the QC 3 and QC15. I have not heard the newer QC25. Moreover, they are some of the most comfortable headphones you will find. If you do a lot of air-travel buy the QC20. The voice canceling alone is worth the price of admission.

Yes, $200 is a good price for the QC3. It has been discontinued, but most places are still selling them for north of $250.

Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor - $219.99 with Free Shipping

http://www.amazon.com/Dell-UltraSharp-24-Inch-LED-lit-Monitor/dp/B005JN9310

Lowest price* all year for this excellent 1920 x 1200 IPS monitor (*Sept. 15th price was $215) so grab one while you can. Most 24" monitors are 1920 x 1080, the extra pixels let you look at 2 documents at the same time without scrolling.

I have always looked at these great smaller monitors from Dell but I already have several monitors including 3 Dell 30" at 2560x1400. I have them because yes I want them, but I also work from home on enterprise database apps about 60%+ of the year. I have a few 1920x1080 Acers also for different boxes I may have running. but this is a great deal for anyone who even thnks they may want a new monitor for just about any need.

"In other news", I am a little underwhelmed at the black friday sales in the US. I guess I am jaded after a few years, and I have too many gadgets already. I would want to buy a $69 Kindle Fire HD, but I have a perfectly good Kindle fire with several GB of space left. I am thinking the market for these is kids of a certain age because most adults have a digital reader by now, and you can do parental controls on them. I did get the Kindle Fire Stick for $19 a few weeks back, now it is actually more expensive on sale for $25. Maybe on Cyber Monday there will be some really crazy deals on gadgets and computer parts. Somebody surprise me.

Now this is interesting Dell 4k monitor 28" for $300 - from the MS site

http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Dell-28-Ultra-HD-4K-Monitor---P2815Q/productID.309552300?ClickID=apaaatpvsa5volvv5a5a9aoaazk0ny9zyllr

This is a 4K monitor but it is not for gaming. This has a limit of 30Hz refresh rate. However for desktop use that is not gaming (photography, video, Excel, data modelling, Word, etc.) this could be what you want. Since it is 4k you will need to adjust your font size, which is what apple had to do for their 5K iMacs.

but if this is your need, can't beat 50% off on this monitor. Next year at this time there will be one that is 60Hz but it may list for 599.

I think I was more stunned to see that 60 inch plasma TVs from a major manufacturer  are "regularly" $700 at Microcenter than that the price had been dropped to $500 for Thanksgiving. Now I understand why Panasonic dropped out of the plasma business. Pretty soon they'll be giving these things away when you open a checking account - or get a car wash.....
