They are so custom I've had a hard time finding any price references.  Thinking $800 for the pair.  E-mail me if you are interested and we can discuss.  Thanks!

Ok, sounds good. I'm not in the market but was curious.
I figured it would be helpful to others looking to know the price as well.
Good luck with the sale, they look like they'd be fun!

Like Daves I'm helping liquidate a friend's estate of mostly photo gear, but the widow has a Marantz 6300 turntable with two headshells, one with a Grado Cr600 G2 cart and the other has a MA2000 (Shure OEM with N70B stylus?) cart.  Both carts and styli look clean, TT is nice,  dustcover could use some TLC.

Any interest among GAS folks?  I have a local friend looking for a TT in the $100 range, but fleabay has it for WAAAAY over that  :o , and I don't want to shortchange the  widow.  Would consider taking a lesser TT in partial trade for my friend.

All input welcome.

I haven't had time to check it WW.  Saw it for the first time yesterday when I took inventory.  Looks mint, comes with 80 and 250 lenses, possibly boxes and manuals.

I will also have some Hasselblad gear of my own to sell…  500Cm, 503CW, lots of accessories.

Up for sale are my pair of Custom

Speakers

 12” Gold Monitors – model 3169G, re-coned, de-screened, originally in Lynx Cabinets circa 1984

Custom Unfinished Cabinet – 21” deep, 17” wide, 32” tall (6.6 CuFt), heavily braced, tuned to 40Hz, rear ported

Custom Crossover – Copper Foil Coils, Tweeter Caps - VCap OIMP, bypassed with Vitamin Qs and AuriCaps, Woofer high pass Superior Zcap and Clarity SA, still have the original crossover (unmolested)

Crossover Frequency – 2.2kHz

Sensitivity – 94dB

Impedance – 8 ohm

Minimum Impedance – 6.5 ohm

Power Handling - 200w peak, 100w nominal

Price - $1000 obo
Price for Cabinet Veneering - $TBD based on veneer choice, expect $1k+ range

Custom Crossover

Drivers

These speakers and crossovers are barely broken in. I drove them with a variety of single ended amps, 2A3s, 300Bs and 211s. Even with 2.5 watts, they sounded quite fine. I do have to say they really woke up with the 211s. These would work extremely well with any of the low powered chip amps too.

The reason I'm selling them is because I'm trying to become a reformed speaker slut. It isn't working very well though since I don't ever sell anything. So here is your chance to help me in my twelve step recovery program. If you're into Tannoy's, this pair is killer, especially with the custom crossover. It really made quite the improvement to clarity.

To be honest, I'm not overly interested in shipping them with the cabinets. These things are big (see above dimensions). I'm guessing them to be right at 100 pounds each. that said, if you want just the drivers and crossovers shipped to you, I'd be happy to do that. Less the cabinets, I'd take $700 for the drivers and crossovers (plus shipping). If you're local and want the cabinets, better bring some help and a pickup. These won't fit in your trunk. Then again, if you talk nice to me, I might deliver them to you....but you get to help load and unload them.

So, think about it. You know you always wanted a pair of Tannoys, and here's your chance. Make me a reasonable offer and you never know, I might just have a weak moment and say yes. Got something cool to trade cause your broke? Well, that may work too. Remember, I haven't been reformed quite yet so audio gear is always tantalizing. I'm always into hot rods and handheld things that go bang.

Don't be bashful :thumb:

Magneplanare MG 1.7 Speakers wit Mye Stands, HiFi Tuning Fuses
« Reply #233 on: 28 Mar 2015, 10:06 pm »
I have recently moved and have decided to sell my MG 1.7 speakers.  They are beige with dark cherry trim and in excellent condition.  They come with a set of Mye stands and have HiFi Tuning Supreme fuses.  All told, I have over $3100 invested in them.  I am asking $2100.  They were purchased in September of 2011 from Glen Poor Audio Video.  They have been boxed up since May of 2014.  I am willing to meet a buyer within a reasonable distance of St. Louis.  I do not want to ship them although I have all the original packaging and manuals.  Contact me with any questions or interest.  Thanks for checking out my ad.  Kent Johnson 636-399-8053

I can do $400 for these, any interest STL folks?  I don't want to move them, let me know if you are interested.  Thanks!

Aaron

Handmade Don Garber Single Driver floor stand speakers for sale.

I've had these for about 6 years and love the way they sound, but need to downsize my speaker setup.  They were handmade by Don Garber in Brooklyn, NY.  They sound amazing in the corners of a room; I played with the positioning until they had just the right sound.

Focal 7v313 driver, cabinets in excellent condition except for a small vase mark on the top of one.  The bottoms have mounts for spikes to raise them off the floor as needed.

I'm in University City.  These can be picked up or I can deliver them in the metro area.  Thanks for your interest!

Aaron

Thales Precision tonearm cable, straight DIN - XLR:  $1,000.00
Van Den Hul Frog Gold, under 400 hours:  $1,000.00
