I am interested in the $900 demo pair of 48V Red Desktop Maraschinos. What is the aesthetic damage ? Are they on granite bases ?

Also, would it be possible to reduce gain to 21 dB ? I would want to match the gain of my NuForce Ref9V3SEs as the Maraschinos would replace two channels of the MCH-300SE-C7 in my quad-amped horn system.
