The SONY HAP-Z1ES Hi-Res Audio Player is a great unit. It is difficult (sometimes) to transfer digital audio files from my computer to the SONY unit, because it is time consuming, and sometimes, things can go wrong...it all seems worthwhile because the SONY unit is excellent...

My method of transfer is to do each transfer session in relative "small batches" - in other words, I don't transfer large sums of data at one time.

Most of my music goes on my EXTERNAL hard-drive.

It has been working OK until now, I have a situation where the transfer was "complete" from my MacBook Pro Laptop, but the SONY unit is stuck on 385 files (with the circular transfer symbol running constantly).

The only thing I can do is re-format my hard-drive - unless anyone has a tip that will work.

A follow-up was posted in another thread:

I contacted SONY technical support by phone.

They upgraded their transfer software to version 1.3 and my problem is now solved.
