Speaking of overload, here's the current list of shows I watch or have watched recently:

Dr. Who (Netflix)
White Collar (Netflix)
Mad Men (Netflix)
Continuum (Netflix)
The Killing (Netflix)
The Walking Dead (Netflix)
Daredevil (Netflix)
Sense8 (Netflix)
Supernatural (Netflix)
Orange is the New Black (Netflix)
The Walking Dead (Netflix)
Agent Carter (Netflix)
House of Cards (Netflix)
Luther (Netflix)
Miss Fischer's Murder Mysteries (Netflix)
The 100 (Netflix)
Arrow (Netflix)
Hell on Wheels (Netflix)
Copper (Netflix)
Longmire (Netflix)
Marco Polo (Netflix)
A Young Dr.'s Notebook (Netflix)
Louie (Netflix)
The Fall (Netflix)
House of Cards (Netflix)
Sherlock (Netflix)
Hannibal (Hulu)
Fargo (Hulu)
Ray Donovan (Hulu)
Homeland (Hulu)
Elementary (Hulu)
Penny Dreadful (Hulu)
Parks and Recreation (Hulu)
Community (Hulu)
Murder in the First (Hulu)
Vikings (Hulu)
American Horror Story (Hulu)
Wayward Pines (Hulu)
Leverage (Hulu)
Downton Abbey (Amazon Prime)
Boardwalk Empire (Amazon Prime)
Orphan Black (Amazon Prime)
True Blood (Amazon Prime)
Justified (Amazon Prime)
The Americans (Amazon Prime)

Most of these are very good shows, and many of them are ongoing, so just keeping up with them is overwhelming, let alone watching other things like Game of Thrones or True Detective, or watching the previous generation of classic shows like 24, 6 Feet Under, The Wire, The Sopranos, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Rome, Dead Like Me, Carnivale, Deadwood, Firefly, Lost, Fringe, Twin Peaks, Battlestar Galactica, MI-5, X-Files, The Shield, Spartacus, Wallander, Torchwood, etc....

That answers my question, Tyson. I had been wondering why you weren't posting much anymore. Clearly you don't have any spare time.

I was going to say...that's like having a second job!

Of all those shows Tyson, which 3 would you recommend for just being a well acted and well written show?

A few more to keep you busy, I don't know if they are on Netflix but you should be able to find them somewhere:

Helix
The Strain

Killjoys
Dark Matter
Deutschland 83 - rated 100% on Rotten Tomatoes - http://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/deutschland-83/s01/?search=deut

    Hi Guys:
Based on your recommendation about the "Narcos" show I've been watching it today. Very good and interesting subject maters in the show. If it is based on a real person and events Pablo Escobar was one very bad dude!!!!!

                                                             Cheers
                                                             Charlie

  P.S.
What in the hell are we doing watching TV when we should be listening to TUNES!!!! Right??

Haha, the main reason is that once I got my Serenity Acoustic Super 7's in place I pretty much lost interest in reading/talking about audio.  They are that good.

Here is another film to consider streaming...WHITE GOD.... Terry Gross of NPR called this the "best film of the year". After viewing it I won't disagree, but superlatives aside,i can guarantee you have never seen anything quite like it.Curious to see if anyone has seen it,or would like to add some comments after viewing.

Recommend IP Man and IP Man 2.

excellent.

 Hi guys:
I don't like to watch foreign movies with subtitles. But I did watch the two Ipman movies and I thought they were very good.
How about this!!! Ipman taught Bruce Lee martial arts.

                                                            Cheers

Loving Hannibal.  Not sure how I missed it until now.  I "consumed" S1 and S2 super quick, finding S3 slower for sure, but will finish.

Really enjoyed Narcos.  Looking forward to S2.

Liked Sense8 S1.

Liked American Odyssey S1.

Curiously enough, right after I started this thread, our DSL went down. Physical problem with the line. I could still tether from my phone (at glacial rates) but no Netflix :( It came back up yesterday and I've started on Luther, which seems like it might stick.

This thread has reminded me that "we" don't even get as much content as "you" do :( Ah well.

I wonder if series that are "made for Netflix" (interesting info there btw, thank you) have the producers aim to capture attention in the first ten minutes. Otherwise it's click click back to the top menu to try something else.

Hi Rod, maybe I should... their website doesn't tell me how much it costs?

[Edit] I found it, USD4 / month.

I know there's a "what to watch" topic and I will look at that again... :) But, has anyone experienced "too much to watch" ennui?

There is only "too much" if one does not discriminate. Choose wisely; ignore the crap, of which there is all too much. There is a wealth of quality cinema if one looks beyond Hollywood, and Netflix has it. Action, car chases, etc, CRAP! As in books, it is up to the individual to decide between reading comics  and serious literature.

Personally, 1 to 2 films per week (usually foreign) is the max. There are better things to do with my time! Life is too short to waste it on popular drivel.

   Hi Guys:
On a previous post  I said I watched the two Ipman movies and thought they were very good.
I was curious about the lead actor. His name is Donnie Yen. I logged on to imdb.com and read his Bio.
Very interesting person. Won a lot of awards in the film industry. I've seen about six of his  movies on netflix so far.
IMHO. His martial arts action movies are the best I've seen. Jet Li's are very good. Jackie Chan's are funny and good.
Bruce Lee is no longer with us but his were very good. Claude Van Dame's movies Suck.
      Donnie Yen's are  better.

                                                                 Cheers
                                                                 Charlie

    P.S.
I hope I got the spelling right.
