new innovative phono preamp

We need feedback about a product that we think will be a good complement to the existing DACs and amps.
The most unique feature of this new phono preamp is the ability to make a lot of selection for gain and impedance matching. Current phono preamp has limited selection and in some cases have to open up the case to make adjustment (HPA-9 for example, switching between MM and MC requires changing a jumper on the board inside).

There are two knobs on the front panel.
Left knob is for controlling the selection of attributes between
1.      Amplifier voltage (or Gain setting)
2.      Input Resistance
3.      Input Capacitor

Right knob: A rotary switch which provides up to 10 levels of different set values for each of the selected attributes.
Both knobs combined given this unit a huge compatibility for the vast variety of turntables.  So literally hundreds of attributes can be selected. We will have recommended settings and customers can post their recommended settings for specific turntable, arm and cartridges.

What do you think?

I'm looking forward to this!
To make it as flexibel as possible I would likte to see a lot of different setting values for the input resistance and capacitor.

So you'd have gain and loading flexibility for MM and high output MC as well as standard MC cartridges?  This would be great as most HOMC need something different than 47kohm and certain Grado carts require extra gain.  I have an HPA-9 but long for a little more in the phono section.

It looks like this.

Did you even read the description? There are two knobs for hundreds of settings.
That one is a "toy" compared to what we plan to make.

If you can match the sound quality and noise level of this old thing, then you have yourself a winner:

That one is extremely flexible as well.

The trick will be to add the selector switches without running long wires all over the chassis.

Easily done if the selector knobs control a chip rather than act as a physical switch.

Hello
I know that i'm not exactly in the theme but pre phono is a part of my problem:
I want to include a room correction processor in my system (like minidsp ddrc 22d with dirac live) and it need to be places between all my sources and the DAC.

So, a pre-phono with a good spdif or aes output should be a good solution for me.
And more, a good source selector (usb/phono/cinch/spdif/wifi...) with spdif or aes output should be really nice.
You can put a pre-phono into your raspberry-pi project and offer a great music server.
If the RIAA correction is made by software, it could be configured by user like Devialet or M2tech Joplin.
It's just a dream...

Sorry for my english

Decided to kill the phono preamp project. Too many products in the pipeline already.
May be someday it will be back :)
