Converting optical to coax digital spdif
« on: 6 Feb 2013, 03:05 pm »
Forgive me if my terminology is off or there's a better place to post this.

I need to convert an optical toslink signal to a coax (rca) type. I did a search and found several products, from $15 no-name to $100 Atlona.

Is there any real difference?

Twisted pear has an interesting one, it's meant to be directly incorporated into your gear.

You might check with this company:     http://www.lifatec.com  I use their products and have been very satisfied.

If you need multiple inputs, this would be the way to go:

I have used the Dayton Audio/Parts Express converter (ref. in message #1) for a number of years.  Works great.

I'm using one of these with a 12v battery power supply to convert coax to optical with very good results.  :D
