axioms website suggests their CSS2 model stands, but they are only 24 inches high, which isnt high enough to fit in my room properly.  I would like to find a pair of stands with a low footprint as space is an issue and it would be nice to slide the base under stuff to save space.  I'm thinking about 30 to 40 inches tall and under 80 dollars if possible.  Thanks for any tips!

Really good, solid stands are tough to find taller than 24"....I looked a couple years ago when I used Quad 11L's regularly.

I settled on these 24inchers...fabulous for the money (they were under $100.00 last year, now a bit more)...

For taller you're gonna' get lesser quality for that kinda' money - even used, I think.  The Parts Express units are sourced right from China (no middleman) and really hard to beat for the money.
