Cap value substitution question
« on: 10 Dec 2009, 01:20 pm »
Hello I have a question on whether I can switch in a bigger cap on a simple chip amp I am building.  I have all the parts except the 2200uf caps.  I do have some 10000uf caps that I would like to use insted.  Any input would be great.

Part Value Rating, type
Rg 22k 0.35 W metalfilm
Rf 22k 1 W carbon
Ri 680R 0.35W metalfilm
Rm 10k 0.35 W metalfilm
Cs 2200 uF
|| 100 nF
 63 V electrolytic;
100 V MKS

On that note.  A bypass cap just needs to be nonpolar, correct?  If it is mylar not polyester would not cause any issues?

Mylar is another name for polyester film,specifically biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate or boPET. Dupont's name for this product was trademarked Mylar.
