Power off or leave on rwa amps?
« on: 28 Apr 2014, 08:56 pm »
Hi, i couldn't find this question in past threads so wanted to ask - is it better to leave the rwa amps on 24-7 or to power off? On the one hand leaving them on keeps everything warm and the low wattage means minimal power consumption.. On the other there is a battery and it might wear it down even if the switch is on ac rather than battery. Any thoughts or experiences? I have the latest model of signature 15. Tnx

Hi dc,

I recommend you turn OFF (charge) when you are not using it because it'll save you $$$ on your electric bill, and because the tube stage and amp stage don't need that long to warm up.  There is a soft start circuit for the tube stage and amp stage, so turning on/off puts minimal stress on the components.

But if you prefer to leave it on all the time in AC mode, it will be fine.
