Stepping up the beat a little from Jack D I see.  Some nice stuff there in the last few.  :thumb:

Thanks bro, likewise with Pentangle!! Jan came home and wanted to rock. I would have stayed in the ECM mode. But this works well also.

Jackson Browne:   For Everyman ,  Asylum,   '73

This hasn't see the light of day in eons, or the dark of night either, for that matter.

Hey mes ami, nada wrong with doin' some rockin'.  :thumb:  I'd forgotten how outrageous the playing on that Pentangle was. Jansch & Renbourn together are something special. You won't find much better acoustic pickers.  8)

JD, great selections with Steeleye Span, did you already mention Below the Salt, the album that brought them to my attention.

Evening Phil - nope, hadn't mentioned that one specifically, though it is one of their best. As noted with Fairport they've gone thru some changes lineup-wise, & sound-wise. I really do like most all of their work, are all homeruns, no, but few groups are. They've remained solid throughout imo. In the vein of that is Parcel of Rogues. Their transition album sound-wise to a more rock based presentation was Now We Are Six. Though they've moved back and forth across the folk/rock boundary. Used to have all their early stuff on vinyl, now only a couple, but do have pretty much all on CD. In fact I think I'll cue up NWAS after Mr. Browne. If you aren't familiar with Pentangle, they are worth checking out. Bert Jansch & John Renbourn founded the group, and both, while vastly different styles, are premier acoustic guitar pickers.

Have a great weekend.  :thumb:

Fairport Convention:  A Moveable Feast       Island,   '74 - aka known as Fairport Live.

Just seems English folk-rock scratches the itch tonight.
