Thanks Russ! The idea that you don't need a lot of "moxie" to drive the Vandersteen bass system is false. RV told me that
the main amps provide the voltage while the speaker amps provide the current so that in order to really hear the bass and mid-bass
it really helps to have an amp like the Aesthetix or Ayre. I went for the Atlas monos because I think that RV and Jim White (Aesthetix) are two of the best manufacturers in the business. They stand behind their products 100%. The 7s at Rocky Mountain didn't sound
their best because they were driven by AR 210 amps played a high db levels. The 610s would have been much better. The year prior they sounded great with the Aesthetix monos which have a monster power supply for each channel.
