“…PH 150’s smooth, effortless attack, generous sustain, and elongated decays into “black.” The ModWright produced expansive soundstage with well-focused images of generous size. String sheen, at which tubes seem to excel, mesmerized me, whether from solo or massed strings.” Michael Fremer, Stereophile Magazine.

Congrats Dan! Excellent review and one I agree with completely. Love my PH-150, especially with the Telefunken tubes

I should also mention the review in The Absolute Sound by Greg Weaver:

I have also just learned of Part Time Audiophile's listing of our PH 150 in their Editor's Choice listing!

https://parttimeaudiophile.com/most-wanted/

This is a product that I am very pleased with!  It is nice when passion and hard work is rewarded!

I am also working on a lesser cost phono stage that will offer the same on-the-fly loading option, but at a MUCH lower price.  The PH 150 is our Reference Phono, but for those looking to spend < $3K for a standalone phono, one is in the works also.

Thanks,

Dan

Will this new lower priced phono stage be tube or SS?

The new phono stage that I am working on right now would likely be a hybrid design.  The highest gain portions of the design will be achieved with all SS components. I do believe that the final stage(s) should use tubes however.

The goal is a high-gain, flexible, QUIET and very musical phono stage for $2K-$3K with external supply.

To be clear, the PH 150 stands alone, but this design would offer the same amount of gain and similar flexibility of loading and other adjustments.  It will be quiet and very musical, all at a price that is much more affordable.

Thanks,

Dan
