BDP-pi playback miseries
« on: 11 Jan 2018, 06:49 pm »
I have a new BDP-pi.  It won't play any MP3s.  It won't play most FLACs.  Oh, the Manic Moose player shows the time ticking away, but there's no sound.  A very few FLAC files play perfectly.  I know all of these files are playable, because I can play them through a laptop computer connected to the DAC.  I've tried Manic Moose on both my cell phone and a laptop (a different laptop) with the same result.

Solved -- I think!  There's an obscure setting in the Moose software that, when clicked, provides sound.

So what was the obscure setting?

I wonder too, becauce it sounds like the same problem I have with Bdp3.

Xinon: In my case, it required enabling the S/PDIF audio device under the "Audio Devices" heading in Manic Moose.
