Just watch the impressive Josef Newgarden crash,
too good he is well:

I think Alonso will not win but will be in the top ten.

No respect for our polesitter...

Wonderful to see Alonso do so well, and having so much fun for a change.

Great to see Rossi up front, he is the future of American racing, imo. I've been following him since he won Formula BMW race at Indy F1 race 2008, and the championship that year.

FRM, do you think we'll see your man Massa driving Indycar next year? ;)

Im going for my first Indy 500.  Cant wait either!   I have been to the Brickyard 400 but not the big one.  Going with folks who have been faithfully attending for 30+ years.   Go Juan Pablo!

^ Be a good audiophile and take some heavy duty ear protection!!! Take some extra plugs to offer to folks around you, too.

It is like watching low flying airplane races.!

Been to it three times.  First time saw turbine car almost win.  Broke down near the end while way ahead.

I just hope I can find a bar with it on that evening as I am headed to Monaco for the F1 race  :thumb:

Bummed I wont get to see Fernando run but then again the way they have been/not I probably would be seeing much of them anyway

Hope he does well at Indy

Hardly, he already said If invited to another F1 year he would accept.
I think it would need alot of sponsors cash, not a simple to find item.
Also not easy convince his wife, she knows Indy approach 400Km/h.

Jason Button will replace Alonso in Monaco at McLaren cockpit.
Monaco is a slow track many chances Button goes well.

I love Jenson, I'd love to see him win Monaco again, he has the best "I can't believe I won" face... but he's not been training, probably low on sim, and rumor is he is mentally done with F1 and he is only doing it because he is still on McLaren contract. They'll probably give him a used engine anyway, so he won't even make it to the end, much less shake Prince Albert's hand. But you never know... I remember watching Olivier Panis win Monaco in a Ligier in 1996 with only 3 cars remaining on the grid due to rain, so anything's possible!

A newby Senna was already leading the race and was about to win in Monaco w/a Toleman with Prost in second under a heavy rain, but the GP manager ex-racer Belgian Jacky Ickx ended the race w/a red flag and the professor was stated winner.

I remember that, and it was controversial to say the least. It actually ended up costing Prost the World Championship that year. He only got half points for the win in a shortened race, and full points for second would have boosted his total enough to win the title. Karma I guess.

Thanks Clark for remember the details, this was a impressive race, his first podium at F1.
