EU to ban "high energy" appliances

Not sure where to post this but "sound amplifiers" are mentioned beginning on page 217. Seriously, is this the only thing that the EU has to worry about these days? This sounds like something completely stupid that they would do in Chicago where I live...

Well I think that should put a limit on high-wattage hair dryers, lawn mowers and electric kettles & powerful vacuum cleaners on a power per month basis. While those appliances use and big hi-fi lots of power they don't use it for very long. That's with the exceptions of Class A amps and people that never turn anything off.
