So far I haven't heard anyone who has used a good USB to S/PDIF converter with the Modwright Oppo.   It does have a S/PDIF input.  I wonder how much it would add to/alter the sound qualities Srajan talks about in the review.

That's a good question. With the core appeal of a fully integrated does-everything machine, I didn't consider adding an outboard USB bridge. And by now the loaner is already boxed up for its next destination so this will have to be for someone else to report on. But it is a fair question

I just was reading the specs for the for the stock Oppo 105 on the Oppo website and noticed that the S/PDIF or RCA input is limited to 96 kHz.  This will probably limit my desire to use a USB converter with it.     

I enjoyed your review (and preview).  I am learning from them both.
