Sorry for the delay.  Admittedly, I didn't see your post since I rarely go on the threads page but rather look for updates to existing threads.
The new amp is Maraschino (TM). 
Power output is 500W into 2 ohms, stable down to 1 ohm.
Extended frequency response to 100kHz.
Size is small, but we can't disclose much about packaging yet.
We will be making finished product with the boards, but will also offer them to other OEMs.  Several companies are in the loop already for samples when available.
Predicted THD+N is 0.0006% and SNR is 130dB.
Can't disclose much but I can tell you this is going to push performance to the limit because not only do the specs speak for themselves, but we have a way, based on experience, to push audible performance to new limits.
The idea is to control any practical speaker load with a vice-like grip at all frequencies.

That was one of the points of the design from the very start.  Some switching amp designs (not anything WE sell, of course) only perform to high levels into a resistive load.

The Cherry has an advantage over the new design with respect to huge power reserves and headroom.  However, the new design offers an improvement in control when driving very low impedance, like some ESLs.

The first A/B comparison should be exciting.  This might be how we spend our time in Vegas at CES (see related thread on this board).  I have a pair of Black Cherry ULTRA MONOs set aside for that.  Almost limitless power and silky smooth precision.  There's also a stereo Cherry ULTRA in the green room of the theater driving Mags.  I'm worried, though, that getting a variety of speakers to play there might be problematic.  Would love a pair of Zus (hint, hint, Sean), and the bigger Mags, and my little B&Ws, and Quads, and SLs, and VR-5s, and......

Well, we are hard at work on this design and plan to invite a few customers for a listen in January. That's not to say the "entire deal" is complete. For one, the chassis design is far from ready. The sound is all that really matters, so that's our current focus.  Measurements next, then "finishing"!
