Pearl Harbor.  Sunken USS Arizona still visible poking out of water.  Oil leaking can still be seen after all these years...

Each USA war have his 911, Harbour was the 911 of that time.
Also dramatic, also conspiratorial.

Great capture Jon. I lived on The island for close to a year. This has to be one of the best snorkeling spots in the world!! Did you snorkel there? Are you going to Kailua Bay? It's very scenic there ! Great beach too.

Some really great shots lately. Special shout out to: Jon L and Pete G. Very dramatic images.

Meanwhile, I hope this isn't your 12-13 year old daughter that I saw strolling through a local street carnival in Germany! Woah!  :o

Something a little more artistic...

This is part of an abandoned and deconstructed steel plant in the industrial section of Dortmund, Germany. The Germans are turning many of these places into parks, cultural centers and museums.

Snorkeling was great.  I guess we beat the Summer season rush and had a nice relaxing atmosphere.  We even got to see a big turtle and a seal! that swam really close to the beach and leisurely swam across the bay  :thumb:

One of these days, I'd like to talk about a frustrating lack of DOF, and why I don't have any.

In the mean time, I'll show a high level of frustration from another hobby of mine.

Simple, Bob. You have no DOF because:

Your zoom lens is in the telephoto range.
Low light = wide aperture/slow shutter speed.
You are too impatient to use a tripod.

And you haven't adjusted the camera diopter so you can actually see what you are doing.

You're welcome!    :thumb:
