Hi CactusBob, pumpkinman and all Audio Circle members.
Why they don't build audio stuff like that anymore?
They were built to last (Almost) forever.
Nice stuff you have...

Flat black plastic can be poured and injected....like bologna......

Aluminium has to be machined. Man style.

Planned obsolescence; the majority of consumer goods are destined for the landfill after a given period of time.
The good stuff survives and makes its way into the Vintage Smut pages.

Speaking of "man style," Bob, when are you going to get your own cooking show on Bravo?    :icon_twisted:

We live in a disposable society for sure. I was looking at guitars amps last week at Guitar Center and decided immediately that I will continue to use my 80 lb. hand wired, point to point '73 Traynor Mark 3 tube amp (not that I've been unhappy) just GAS. For a grand you get a toy-like Princeton 65' Reissue all dolled up to look like a real 65', but without the quality, made south of the border.  :icon_lol:

There are a lot of guys earning money by making YouTube videos about grilling/smoking.
Some of them I just have to shake my head at..... :duh:

But yea, I've thought about it.

Wow :o I had the KR-9340 (55wpc x 4) back in 1975 along with the CD4 quad phono stage, a JVC QL-50? quad turntable and a set of Technics SB2200s

That system kicked some serious booty back in the day :thumb:
