The black helicopters are surrounding your house now. Might as well surrender peacefully. :o
I hate it when that happens.  :duh:

I've never seen heat distortion better captured—and check out the distorted slick!!! Outrageous.

Great shots.

Our Spring planting is vigorously underway. We're about ⅓ complete. Last year we had 17,000 lbs of produce in addition to eggs, poultry, venison, herbs and honey!
This year we'll start farming the fish from our stocked ponds: Large Mouth Bass, Bluegill and Sunfish. :thumb:

Nice! Do you consider it a hobby farm or a "real farm"? I want to do that! I have seen those catepillar-type greenhouses used for "urban farming" but I would think they make sense for any kind of farming.

Thanks for the question jqp. It certainly is a "real farm" that also acts as a demonstration and instruction model for sustainable living and organic agriculture. The farm concentrates it's efforts on recycling, repurposing and renewable energy. We've even have an herbal garden that is a source for a commercial herbal supplements business. We have a full-time, paid crew, 50 volunteers, college students and classes as well as interns and many tours and some workshops throughout the year. If you'd like more info, shoot me a PM. :thumb:

Everyone of the young men featured in the photo were originally "city" boys. Who'd a thunk!?

It always is.  But it beats shoveling pig shit.  Oh...maybe you have to do that too on your farm.

I can relate, my Granddad (Mom's father) operated a small quarter horse ranch and farm in Yakima valley when I was growing up and I spent many summers working and playing there.  My Dad's Mother owned and operated a small walnut farm near Salem, Oregon and spent some time there too.  They just worked their respective farms and didn't quite take it to the "farm university" level that you have.

We then spent 2 weeks in New Mexico and Arizona on a 3200 mile car trip.
Camped out under the stars for many of the nights (hot as hell in Arizona).
Slot canyons and Horseshoe Bend (AZ) and slept on the sand dunes at White Sands (NM).

Where were the canyon shots taken?
Gotta say though.. those are some amazing shots. The PP is awesome. Granted they're almost unrealistic, but I dig them.
Very cool, love it!  :thumb:

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Trying to upload an image just now I got this: There was an error! The server said: Illegal ID

Any idea what this means?
This was solved?  It would be any non supported extension.

That's fantastic!
How much time does it take you to PP each of these?
Just curious, I've not learned that aspect of photography yet.
