  • All Tweeters look like a target, then shoot them!
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Yeah, that made me weep a bit. I shot a job this past weekend with a rented D5mk4 (as my beloved D6 got stolen) Holy shit, what a nice bit of kit.

Touch screen. wow. And impeccable image quality.

Hell all modern cameras are good. I've switched to Canon, as they were first to offer FF with the D1.

At some point, I will get a Fuiji X system. Not sure if I will exclusively. but lot to like about them. I don't see crop sensor being an issue on quality. FF still matters to me as someone who does a lot of architecture with wide angles and using tilt/shift lenses.

Fuji nails color. In some way a lot more natural than Canon. At least to my eye. Especially skin tones. Ive never used but from what I've seen some of the other mirrorless, like Sony are really outstanding.

Roger that. ^^^

It hurts my fragile ego, but as much of a novice as I am, my iPhone 6 takes better photos than I can with my Nikons.
That is, unless I get crazy with extra wide or extra long lenses.    :?

Chip: Good capture. This was my shot of the Supermoon from last November. Very similar to yours! I didn't get out to shoot the Supermoon this year.

On the windowsill, this little spider surveys his potential breakfast.

Hmmm. Looks Yummy!

Thanks 'Brick. That's very kind of you.

As far as the small spider shot goes... it WAS really luck. No kidding! I was sitting at the table and having coffee in an old farm house down here. I looked over to the windowsill, and there was this itsy bitsy spider. I had a 100mm f/2.8 prime macro lens on the camera at the time, and just as I picked up the kit, a teeny weeny ant was running by. I quickly focused and shot off two frames. It's a fun image with a very shallow depth of field.

As far as workshops go... I've done a few for friends, family and beginners. Nothing too special, just trying to help friends out. I have had an exhibit or two a year over the last several years. I always love to talk shop and connect to other photogs and their groups. I welcome correspondence. Would love to connect with you sometime regarding photography. I know you are a photo teacher up in the St. Louis area. Southern IL's not too far away.

Again, much thanks for the compliments and votes of support. Mostly, thanks for looking at my images.

Generous offer, bside!

I'm down 44 in Rolla.  I'm retiring at the end of the month I'd jump at the chance to learn some processing from you!  Better yet, a photo walk!
