« on: 9 Sep 2016, 11:58 pm »
Would like some advance tips on positioning of these on my desktop...

1.  straight ahead or toed-in?

2.  tweeter at ear level?  angle it up or use stands?

thanks!

The smoothest response will probably be at about 15 degrees off axis.   If that's the angle you get when they're pointed straight ahead, then they should be pointed straight ahead.  If not, toe in slightly until you're 15 degrees off axis.  Or point them straight at you.  It really doesn't make any doo da difference.  An acceptable vertical listening position is anywhere from the tweeter axis down to the top of the woofer.

I don't think positioning or toe-in is critical.  If your ear will be above the tweeter axis, it could help to angle the speakers up a little.  Feel free to experiment.  There aren't any hard and fast rules, other than your ears should not be substantially above the tweeter axis.

I may have missed it, but what do they sound like as currently positioned?

Sound nice but as you see they are pretty big compared to the room I have.  Also, if I dip my head down a bit they sound more focused so might and try to angle them a big higher....just keep wondering if your Computer Monitor speaker would be a better size for the room I have...
