Final reduction at $750 USD price is firm.

This USB converter absolutely transformed the performance of my W4S DAC2 DSDse, the combination is tough to beat without spending significantly more money.

The Off Ramp 5 converts USB digital audio from your computer or music server to S/PDIF, AES/EBU over XLR or I2S over HDMI and provides a pristine signal to your DAC. This particular Off Ramp has an additional Hynes regulator on the HDMI output. There is a lot of information available on the AudioCircle forums.

Also included is the $200 USD Empirical Audio Short Block USB filter. The filter goes between the USB cable and the Off Ramp to reduce “common-mode” noise on the USB cable. This filter was somewhat intermittent in my system, but when it worked it threw a huge 3D soundstage. Since it was intermittent for me, I can’t say for sure if it will work in your system but give it a try!

Price: $1000 $900 $800 $750 USD
