Great shows!  Thanks for all the links Brett. I agree about the St. Stephen>Not Fade from 2-13 btw.   Between all these Dead shows and the Phish downloads from this weekend, my HD is filling up fast.  I am also getting tempted by the Modwright Transporter, which sure would make listening to all these downloads easier.

Yeah, the 13th show has so much great energy... Man I wish I was there. :)

I saw about 15 shows in the late 80s early 90s and they were some great shows too! I guess they get overlooked and people are down on the later shows. The shows I saw were full of energy and Jerrys voice was great. I know he had a rough period where his voice went to shite.

Anyways the early 70s had a great energy, even after Pigpen kicked it. I like Pigpen, but post is more my thing. I have some 1980 shows that are dopey mc fresh too!
Got to listen to the 14th show too.

Thanks for posting these torrent links.  I downloaded them last night and am listening to them now.  They are great, and the sound quality is better than expected.

Also, if you have created an account and are still having problems, you'll need a bit torrent client.  I just use FlashGet, which integrates nicely with Firefox.  To download the files referenced by the torrent, you just click on the torrent link, and it prompts you to launch it in FlashGet.  Once you do that, FlashGet takes care of the rest.  There's probably more sophisticated ways to do this, but it gets the job done for me.

This one is a must have.  It's a matrix recording, which means it's part audience recording and part soundboard.  It has very good sound quality.  The 5-8-77, Barton Hall show is considered one the best shows by many.  It is known for its Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain, which is most definitely very sweet.  I personally think the whole show is excellent.  Hope y'all enjoy this.  It appears to be very well seeded, so download time should be minimal.

I spent about $18 today for Dick's Picks, Vol. 8.  I also downloaded this show (below) for free.  Both are mentioned by many to be in the top ten of the best live GD recordings.  I know this is all subjective, but I think the the free version blows the $18 version away...at least in SQ.  Both are actually great shows, but man, I'm really enjoying this download.  Except for a few patches, this one is real nice.
