All these talk about Pink Floyd, I honestly don't get it where all the similarities and expectations are coming from. Radiohead sound nothing like Pink Floyd (then again as a whole they don't sound like any other artists). They never did. In fact, apart from Jonny Greenwood, no one in Radiohead even likes Pink Floyd. In fact, they do not like progressive rock to begin with. Radiohead stopped being a rock band while ago. They are more like an experimental art 'rock' band.

Lol. Pink floyd was an experimental art rock band. Thats why they are compared so often.

I really like Radiohead but I don't worship them.  I actually like some of their rockier stuff better than the experimental.  The Bends was my favorite of theirs and King of Limbs did nothing for me at all.  I downloaded the new one and listened to it once and was kind of bored.

I agree the new album is very low key.  I too wish they had some more upbeat numbers like on Kid A and Amnesiac (still my favorite album of theirs).

I felt the same way, initially. I gave it a few more spins, and it has really grown on me quite a bit.

The Numbers is pretty incredible.
