Yes to Facebook, but only occasionally and it is very chancy that the Facebook posts come up on anybody's feeds - therefore recommend posting both places

On the newsfeed, when someone posts something, there's  a dropdown menu on the upper right hard part of the post. You can stop seeing everything that person posts while still remaining their Fb friend.
