Thank you ricardojoa for your input. The ottavo sounds like a great option.

A new MTM is in the works with Satori woofers and a ribbon tweeter which competes very well with some of the Raal drivers but at a lower price!

No but that does look like a nice tweeter.

Sorry - I cannot divulge any information at this time. Part of the delay is that I have some line array projects in the works that might possibly affect what I order in terms of quantity and the type of transformer used. These ribbons are ideal for line arrays and make it possible to have incredibly good sound at more affordable prices.

Which makes zero sense to me.  Just lay it out and it will probably generate a lot more interest and keep people interested.

Ok - here's a little information. We have a very large project in progress and I've been testing custom drivers for my client. The tweeter will be available in some other designs that are in progress. Once I have the stock here I can be more specific.

Looks like a Morel Supreme SCM634 or SCW636?  Maybe not on second look, dustcap is too big...

It's a driver that I had specially made for us.

Sounds like measurement posting time :D. Freq response and distortion of both drivers ftw.

What kind of distortion measurements are you looking for?

Hi Rick, do you have any pictures of the MTM in the works. Sounds really interesting.

Here's a shot of the front - nothing fancy - just a test baffle from the prototype. There are a few cabinet options, two standmount versions and a floorstander. The larger standmount is the same cabinet as the Tempesta, 22" high, 9" wide, 14.8" deep and rear ported. A somewhat smaller sealed box version (20"x 8" x 13") for use with a subwoofer. The floorstanding cabinet design is still in the works.

Still curious about the cf mid. Any particular reason you had it made? Some nitch its filling or doing better than other options like satori, scanspeak, accuton you usually use?

It's for a specific design; in fact, I have three different prototype drivers on hand that I've tested.

Rick, can you speak more about your thoughts on carbon fiber drivers?  I know you stongly advocate metal/hard drivers used conservatively in their appropriate frequency range, but I've been very impressed with the few carbon fiber drivers that I have heard.  The Morel TSCM634, in particular, looks like a fantastic midrange driver, with usable frequency response from about 100 Hz up to almost 10 KHz, with no nasty resonances to tame like ceramic or metal drivers.  I know you've had concerns about Morel's motor structures and linear extension in the past, but would that really be an issue with a midrange driver?  Any thoughts or comments would be kindly appreciated.
