The cat wanted to come out on the deck, and the wife snapped this through the screem door

Never saw one like that before. Looks dangerous.

I've always liked this Thread. I thought I'd give it a little bump from its nap.  :D

The fire hydrant across the street *failed* today. No car hit it, nobody touched it. The bolts finally rusted all the way through. This picture gives a good idea of the scale.

Now I'm somewhat scared of fire hydrants.  That thing just popped off like it was fire hydrant prom night or something.  yikes.

Hi Jon L and all.
I don't like the quality of photos taken with cell phones,
well, that normal because I am/was a user of medium and large format cameras.
However, I must admit that you always carry with you a cell phone and therefore,
you are always ready to pop a picture when it shows up.
Nice picture, I like the dawn lighting and the patterns of the clouds.

I own a cheap 35 USD Nokia cell phone, therefore no built in camera,
however, I always carry my Olympus Infinity 35mm camera under the seat of my motorbike
and a few times, it was useful to documents special event.

Hi charmerci.
The underwater glass trick is the one I prefer.
Nice video, thanks for sharing, even if my Nokia 35 $ phone
does not have built in camera.

Hey, what's the speaker and the wood?

That's a Fritz Speaker Illuminator 7.  Seriously great monitors. :thumb:   The veneer is Zebra Mahogany.

Have fun,

edit:  Here's another mobile phone pic of Fritz's fine touch. Check out the veneer work. Quite awesome.  :D

Hi Jerry,
I read your post for the first time today and followed the link to the specialty tweeter xover used in the Fritz speaker.
I recall playing around with that idea long before the idea was shown to be conceived according to the Acoustic Reality web site.
http://web.archive.org/web/20110902214134/http://arhifi.dk/store/product.php?id_product=22
I had read the review of the Sonus Faber Extrema in Stereophile back in 1992. http://www.stereophile.com/standloudspeakers/915/index.html
Sonus Faber had incorporated the same idea into their tweeter back then. I have no idea who the original inventor may have been, its just funny how there is really nothing new under the sun as they say.
