Without mods, it really depends on how poorly your room is setup and what amount of acoustical treatments you have present.

You could get six 2' x 4' mini traps for the front & back corners and two for the reflection points for $1200, plus shipping.

If you have dual corner loaded subs or are planning to get them, then the TacT 2.2XP would be a good investment.

With the Tact, you can get preamp, dac, crossover, and room correction features depending on how the unit is configured.

However, I strongly suggest that you add some room treatments before going with ANY form of room correction.

Room correction can be a powerful tool, but it can't bend or break the laws of physics.

Concentrating on speaker/listen placement and room treatments first, will allow room correction to strut its stuff and allow you to really optimize your system.
