summing up my voltage vs amp woes..

Thanks for everyones input,
For my new dual voltage SE 845 tube amps, I ended up dropping in some slightly higher value slow blow..from 5a fast to 6.3 slow..They are working fine, I can hear my amps for the first time so the 115-230 switches are doing their job apparently. I only dropped those fuses in because rat shack is weak and had nothing more to offer. I figured I'd hit the real electronics shop tomorrow for some 10a fasts. BTW, I love these amps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If anyone has hesitated to look into ming da..I would say lets talk, cause these rock! Of course we'll consider that I did put in some Nos tung sol 6sn7wgt's for the drivers

hi beat,

lowes or home depot should have a better fuse selection than rat-shack.  also waiting for your comparison to running at 150v vs running at 230v thru the step up tranny's...

Hey Doug,
The step up trannys will be here today. I think I'll let the units burn in for a while before I do any real listening though. I am curious too.
