I found the TASCAM US-144mkII USB interface box totally awesome if you do any home recording with the computer. Even if you are just putting vinyl onto your hard-drive, this baby will do it (with appropriate software) and if you want to record yourself. I have a small home recording studio and I run a small mixing board into it, with great results. Signal to noise ratio is dead quite. No hum, no nothing, but wonderful music.
