I found your problem - the Brylcreem is making your fingers too slippery to get a good grip on the fret board.

Oh that's a good one. Wish I could play it. I have been trying to get better playing my acoustic guitar but struggeling to find the time to get better than beginners level. You inspired me to get going at it again.

Thanks for that!
Always liked that song, abeit the Beach Boys version. Finding that it was written in the 1800's was a bit of a shock even more surprising to find lyrics.
