Leaving tomorrow for CAF2017 at the Hilton in Rockville, MD.

Will be helping in the DCAudioDIY room over the weekend.  Heard the first trials of the setup at Roscoe's place with DAC's that Roscoe and Shashi had for trials and sounded very good to me.

Hope to see folks at the show and catch up along the way.   :D

Day 0 helping with load-in with the DCAudioDIY room.

Everything is in and setup started.

Tom's Egg speakers are in another room and sounding good for setup.

Going to be an interesting weekend!

Back home from CAF2017 and had a great time listening and talking to people and seeing friends in the DCAudioDIY room that I volunteered to help and the show.

A DIY open baffle Tannoy Coaxial PA driver and 18" slot loaded down firing sub in a U-Frame.  DIY tube amp, DIY autoformer preamp with active/passive crossover system biamped.  Very nice sound!  Joe Roberts brought a restored 16" transcription table with Shick 12" arm and Denon 103 spherical stylus cartridge for LP's.  Luckily in the sales area the ultrasonic LP cleaning booth was cleaning LP's and that made a huge difference in surface noise reduction.

It was a fun room for listening and DIY talk for folks just getting going and well seasoned in DIY to talk.

Looking forward to CAF2018!
