It's an automotive finish contracted out by my DIY customer. He built the majority of the cabinet with a phenolic material. Can you say HEAVY?

Is this a one off or are you going to be offering this speaker built?  What is the cost?

No it's going to be available for other customers; in fact, I'm already building three for a L/C/R in a theater / music system. The cost will be according to what cabinet configuration is used.

Rockin' Rick.  Can you share with us what 8" drivers are used?

That's OK.  I think you have a winner with this one.  The footprint and design is going to attract a lot of folks.  I wish you all the best.

Thanks - I agree. I had been looking to do a new 3-way floorstander but waited awhile for the right driver combination to come along.

The owner is in Cary. The final testing and assembly is at the end of this week.

Look forward to seeing the data.

Also, you need to build some stuff for guys that are closer to me.

Might it be available as a kit?

You know I lived in Charlotte from 85-92 and there's always been much greater audio interest here in the Raleigh-Durham area. Is it still like that in your opinion?

I would tend to agree with you given the amount of stores in Raleigh but the few stores that are down in Charlotte do some impressive systems though.  In general, I'd agree with you though.

The Tempesta Extreme was a 3 way floor stander.  :D

BTW I thought the owner is Indian (in fact from Mumbai - where I live) and I think the driver models have already been mentioned before you might want to edit those posts to protect your IP. Don't worry I ain't telling. Is it Ottavo or OCTavo?
