I just took delivery of my new Speed Queen washer and it was broken right out of the box. The mechanical switch with the timer does not move forward to the next cycle. Thankfully the retailer is exchanging it for a new one. They initially wanted to send a repairman and I said absolutely not. Unfortunately I will be without a washer till Tuesday.
What is ironic about this is that the delivery men stated that I am buying a top of the line washer as they never see these returned for repair.
