I wish I still had my Musical Paradise amp for phones...loved it for either actually.....Great amps.
The EF5 of the MusPar are the 2 I'd say but I've never heard the little dot......

If you're going to be in it for the long haul stretch your budget and hunt around for a used Woo Audio offering.
They're built like tanks here in the US and you won't get the upgrade bug for a better amp.

I'm looking at getting back into hi-fi (my SET setup is still in storage :( ) and the Woo WA6 almost looks too good to be true. Really thinking about pairing one with a set of closed cans in the $300 range and a Schiit Modi DAC...

I really enjoy the hybrid Schiit Vali amp and even better with the modi as a dac/amp combo!

The WA6 is quite good.  The only downside is it takes quite a while to warm up as it's quite the chunk of metal.
I sold mine to help finance a guitar but I'll get another one sooner or later.
