Yes, I know most of us have 'upgrade-itis', and have it bad.  I've upgraded my source (soon to be a tubed Modwright Oppo BDP-105), wires (Shunyata, WyWires), receiver (Arcam) and amp (PrimaLuna).  However, the thought of upgrading my Sapphire XL-XLC combo rarely crosses my mind.  In my small listening space, they SING!    Yes, I have bought other speakers for my other rigs :  Morel Octaves, Definitive Mythos- none rock my world like the XLs. That got me thinking; what have former XL users migrated to,  why did they choose what they did and how they like their new speakers.

I am still loving my XLs after 8 musical years...

I miss my Essence V's and Essence center I had . Most enjoyable H/T I had.

Guess folks are clinging on to their XLs...  For me, I listen in a near-field setup in a small room and the XLs image spectacularly, are easy to listen to and yet provide enough detail and space between the instruments.  Also, I don't crank the volume very high, though I've been told that the XLs can handle being pushed a bit
