Pack a punch, I hope
« on: 3 Sep 2015, 08:55 pm »
Hey All,
I am setting out to make the lightest/loudest 2.1 system possible. The thing will be run from antigravity batteries so I would like it to run on 12v DC. If need be I can wire  it up to run on 24v.

Currently I have identified two amps, but I think there must be a better solution out there. One thing I am considering but don't know too much about is plate amps. Having everything rolled into my sub would be kinda awesome. Can you please let me know what you think of the choices below and if you have a better suggestion, lay it on me.

Driver selections will be made later based on what my amp options are.

Thanks in avance,
Joe

Hi, if it were me, I would go with something from a vendor with some reputation and their own website like hifimediy.

Loudness is a combination of power and loudspeaker sensitivity. There are a lot of tradeoffs ...

I'm using 2 class D Audio amps powered off a 12 V battery , one amp powers my mains the other my sub for my bedroom system. They offer kits and pre made amps.

Thank you all!
I was originally looking into T amps, but the D class looks like a much better fit.
