Anti virus recommendation

I had removed McAfee av and are using Wdef, seems W10 is a bit faster.

I've had Norton, then Avast and now I'm using Kaspersky.

IMO, they all pretty much do the same thing equally well.

Iam using Wdef why its free, others are paid software.

Windows defender..

Don't install java of flash....

And install Ad Block Plus or a similar ad blocker. It doesn't stop everything but it keeps 90+% of the bad stuff from getting near your machine.

I've had bitdefender (requires downloading program from cloud, which I find onerous; I couldn't get it to download to a few computers), Kaspersky (which I find way too intrusive and time consuming) and Eset.  I liked Eset the best in terms of use.

I've installed both Java (MUST have it) and Flash on all my machines (6).
